Crowdfunding is a means of raising money by reaching out to your personal networks and inviting your friends, family, and contacts to contribute to a project. Through crowdfunding, you can generate small contributions from a large number of people to provide funding for your project or campaign online and via social media. We recommend everyone use the sharing features of this giving site to help raise awareness of these important funding priorities.
Are gifts made through this Principia Giving crowdfunding website tax deductible?

How can I make a pledge payment for my 50th reunion?
Please contact Kevin Capp, Director of Development Programs and Annual Giving if you would like to make a pledge payment, or refer to your pledge reminder letter. Pledge payments cannot be made on this site.
How can I submit a project to the Principia Giving crowdfunding platform?
Principia Giving crowdfunding is still in its pilot phase—we’re testing and refining our crowdfunding process with a few hand-picked projects. If you think your project would be a good fit, the first step is to contact the Annual Giving office.
Will my gift be returned if a project doesn’t meet its fundraising goal?
No, projects on the Principia Giving crowdfunding platform are carefully selected so that even small amounts of money raised will help pay for budgeted expenses in that program area.
Who can contribute to Principia’s crowdfunding projects?
Anyone! Contributions to projects can be made by any individual or organization inside or outside of Principia.
Does Principia crowdfunding store my credit card information?
No, we do not store any payment or credit card information.
Is my gift eligible for employer/corporate matching?
Yes. During checkout, select the option for your employer to match the gift and enter the name of your employer. Note, it can take several months for employers’ matching funds to be received. In the event the match does not arrive before the project deadline, we will apply your gift to the respective program for other budgeted expenses.
